1. Who we are

The HR Compliance Audit service ("the Service") is operated by Charles Hackney("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you are entering into an agreement with Charles Hackney.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or continuing to use the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.

3. The service

The Service provides a self-service HR compliance checklist and audit tool. The output is a general self-assessment and does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for your own compliance decisions and should consult a qualified employment attorney for your specific situation.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including software, content, branding, and documentation — are and remain the property of Charles Hackney. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your internal compliance assessment purposes within the plan you have purchased.

7. Payments, billing, and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

8. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. Refunds are processed by Paddle.

9. Service availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features without notice.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. You may request export of your audit data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.

11. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Charles Hackney against any third-party claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Charles Hackney is established. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
