Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope and permitted use

This Policy applies to all visitors, registered users, and purchasers of the Service. You may use the Service only for lawful workplace-investigation and internal business purposes, and only in compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and any content you submit or generate.

2. Illegal and harmful uses are prohibited

You must not, and must not permit any other person to, use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or abusive purpose. Specifically, you must not:

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Commit fraud, misrepresentation, or any deceptive business practice.
• Send spam, unsolicited communications, or use the Service to harass, threaten, stalk, defame, intimidate, or discriminate against any person or group.
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party, including uploading content you do not have the right to use.
• Upload or process personal data of others without a valid lawful basis, or submit special-category or sensitive personal data (such as health records, biometric data, government IDs, or financial account numbers) except where the Service explicitly supports it.
• Generate, distribute, or promote illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or discriminatory content.
• Create deepfakes, impersonate real people or organizations, produce disinformation, or generate malware, phishing content, ransomware, or instructions for illegal activity.

3. Prohibited conduct

In addition to the prohibitions above, you must not, and must not permit any other person to, engage in the conduct described below. The examples are illustrative, not exhaustive.

3.1 Fraud, deception, and financial crime

You must not use the Service to commit or facilitate:

• Fraud or misrepresentation — for example, creating fake investigation reports to deceive employers, insurers, regulators, courts, or other third parties.
• Payment fraud — using stolen cards, unauthorized bank accounts, falsified billing information, or chargeback abuse to obtain access to the Service.
• Identity deception — impersonating another user, employee, client, investigator, attorney, or government official to gain access, credibility, or information you are not entitled to.
• Scams or deceptive schemes — generating documents or communications designed to trick recipients into transferring money, revealing credentials, or surrendering confidential information.

3.2 Phishing, malware, and security abuse

You must not use the Service to create, distribute, or support:

• Phishing or spear-phishing material — fake emails, notices, login pages, or investigation summaries intended to steal credentials or personal data.
• Malware or malicious code — viruses, worms, ransomware, keyloggers, spyware, or instructions for exploiting systems or bypassing security controls.
• Social-engineering content — pretexts, scripts, or personas designed to manipulate people into disclosing sensitive information or taking harmful actions.
• Attacks on the Service — probing, scanning, or exploiting vulnerabilities; bypassing authentication, rate limits, entitlements, or access controls; credential stuffing; or denial-of-service activity.

3.3 Illegal services and regulated activity

You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to provide illegal services, such as:

• Unlicensed legal or investigative services — holding out generated reports as formal legal opinions, licensed private-investigation work, or official government findings when you are not authorized to provide them.
• Evading legal obligations — generating documents to conceal unlawful conduct, obstruct justice, destroy evidence, mislead regulators, or avoid sanctions.
• Stalking, harassment, or threats — using the Service to target, intimidate, threaten, or surveil individuals without lawful authority.
• Discriminatory or harmful programs — creating policies, reports, or communications that promote unlawful discrimination, harassment, violence, or exploitation.

3.4 Intellectual property and confidentiality misuse

You must respect the rights of others and protect confidential information:

• Intellectual property infringement — uploading, reproducing, or distributing content you do not own or have permission to use, including copyrighted materials, trademarks, trade secrets, or proprietary employer documents.
• Unauthorized disclosure — sharing generated reports, interview prompts, evidence logs, or intake data with parties who are not authorized to receive them.
• Privacy and publicity violations — using names, likenesses, or personal data of real individuals without a lawful basis or proper consent.
• Reverse engineering or scraping — decompiling, disassembling, scraping, mirroring, or systematically extracting the Service, its outputs, prompts, weights, or system instructions.
• Competing use — using the Service to build, train, or improve a competing AI model or generative product, or reselling outputs as a competing service.

3.5 Circumvention and abuse of the Service

You must not:

• Circumvent any technical or policy measure designed to protect the Service or its users, including reCAPTCHA, rate limits, access tiers, or export controls.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access, monitor, or interact with the Service in ways that a normal user would not.
• Share accounts, credentials, or trial entitlements across multiple users or organizations without authorization.
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the origin of any content you submit or share through the Service.

4. AI-generated content

The Service uses AI models to generate investigation report drafts and related outputs. You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for the prompts and inputs you submit and for how you use, publish, or rely on any generated output.
• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. Outputs are a starting draft — not legal, tax, financial, medical, or professional advice — and must be reviewed by a qualified professional (such as an employment attorney) before being adopted, distributed, or relied on for compliance.
• You must not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence, self-harm, discrimination, or the exploitation of any person.
• You must not use the Service to create deepfakes, impersonate real people or organizations, produce disinformation, or generate malware, phishing content, or instructions for illegal activity.
• You must not attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise circumvent the safety, moderation, or usage policies of the Service or its underlying AI providers.
• You must have all necessary rights to any content you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service.

5. Content moderation

We reserve the right to review, filter, refuse, or remove any content or output that we believe violates this Policy, applicable law, or the rights of others. We may use automated and manual moderation techniques. We are not obligated to pre-screen all content.

6. Enforcement and consequences

We may — at our discretion and without prior notice — remove or refuse to generate content, filter or restrict outputs, rate-limit usage, suspend or terminate accounts, reverse charges, and report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent termination without refund.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach this Policy, your payment fails or is reversed, we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or a security risk, or you repeatedly or seriously violate our rules.

7. Changes

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
